We received this recipe from Branka Kaselj from Zaklada Slagalica during the pandemic. ‘When you come to Croatia – the pandemic will end one day, after all – you’ll get the opportunity to try this dish’ – Branka wrote.
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 1 kg flour
- 600-700 ml lukewarm water
- 1 teaspoon salt
If you don’t have time to make the dough, you can use a prepackaged filo pastry.
Filling:
- 500 g fresh white cheese (farmer’s cheese)
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 4 eggs
- salt to taste
Preparation:
- Knead a smooth dough from the flour, water and salt. Set aside for 10 minutes. Then divide it into 4-5 parts. Knead each separately, brush with oil and set aside for 1 hour.
- Mix together the cheese, sour cream and eggs. Season with a pinch of salt.
- Roll out a piece of dough on a table covered with a tablecloth. Spread the filling, roll up and place in a baking tin. Repeat with the other pieces of dough.
- Bake at 230 degrees C for 30-40 minutes.
