Garlic farmer’s cheese/quark is a favourite dish of the Ökotárs organisation team (in previous years the operator of the Active Citizens Fund in Hungary). The recipe was sent by Vernika Mora with the following remark: ‘This dish is best prepared by our colleague Zsuzsa. It is mandatory at all Ökotárs team meetings’.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg farmer’s cheese (either low-fat, semi-fat or full-fat)
- 100 g cream cheese
- 1 big tablespoon butter
- 3 large cloves garlic
- cream
- salt
Preparation:
- Mix the first four ingredients in a large bowl. Keep adding the cream until you get a delicate, creamy mixture. You can add more garlic to taste (garlic is the soul of the dish). Spread the finished cottage cheese on bread. You can also use it as a dip.
