According to our research, the vast majority of young people in Opolskie Voivodeship are not engaged in any form of civic activity, because they lack sufficient knowledge about options for engagement with NGOs, or a belief in possibilities ahead of them. They have no sense of solidarity with the community, or a sense of civic responsibility.
Trying to address these issues we will organize worksops for sixty individuals between 15 and 25 years old from Opolskie Voivodeship. We will work on developing their social competences, such as listening, clear communication, understanding boundaries and needs of their own and others, and engage them in activities in their local communities. We will use a wide range of tools and techniques to ensure that the participants can practice what they have learned in theory. Additionally, we will conduct workshops employing the Horse Assisted Education method, where young people can learn communication, intuition, relationship building, creativity, or leadership. We will have meetings for the youth with representatives of six NGOs from Opolskie Voivodeship. It will help them understand how these organizations work and allow them to meet some of the inspiring characters behind those groups, working for the benefit of the common good.
