According to research conducted in Konopnica Municipality (Lubelskie Voivodeship) and its two neighboring municipalities, the local youth is not engaging civically and has educational challenges.
We want to address these issues by engaging students, their families, and peers, as well as staff from schools in those three municipalities. We would like to teach them leadership skills, collaboration, and the ability to find compromise. We will organize workshops that will teach them civic-oriented and leadership attitudes, as well as living in agreement with themselves and others. We will train 12 volunteers to work with the participating youth.
Four schools from three neighboring municipalities surrounding Lublin will serve as our partners. These are both public and private, urban, and rural schools. This selection of partners will allow us to engage individuals with diverse perspectives.
Seventy five percent of participants will be evaluated by professional, external researchers. We’re hoping that the knowledge accumulated that way will allow for an easy expansion of the program across Poland.
