Reports, expert research and experience of The Kraków Multicultural Association (Stowarzyszenie Wielokulturowy Kraków) show that knowledge of Krakow’s multiculturalism remains superficial and limited. There is a shortage of attractive educational materials that reach pupils, teachers, educators, and city guides. At the same time, we are seeing an increase in aggressive and xenophobic attitudes.
The project will enable educational packs to be produced and distributed, and information will also be distributed to promote the historical and contemporary multiculturalism of the city. The project will help increase Kraków residents’ knowledge of the activities of organizations and institutions working to help national, ethnic, cultural and religious minorities. In the project, there will be a podcast in 12 parts, 12 articles on blogs, and an urban literary game. Six theme-based walks will be held, two debates on the historical and contemporary multiculturalism, six webinars for young people, and six meetings on the subject of cuisine. All of the events will be open and free of charge to Kraków residents – local and foreign.
