Klon/Jawor Association is a nationwide non-governmental organisation that has been supporting the development of civil society in Poland for more than 20 years. Its most important areas of activity are information, counselling and research activities. The organisation runs the NGO portal ngo.pl – the largest free source of information, knowledge and opinions on social activity in Poland. Recognised by 82% of Polish organisations, it was visited by approximately 4 million users in 2021. The portal fulfils the following functions: advisory, informative and opinion-forming and enables social activists to disseminate information about their activities. Every day, approx. 80 news items on community life are published daily. The portal includes spis.ngo.pl: the largest, free-of-charge data collection with information on over 190,000 social entities. An integral part of ngo.pl is communication in social media (approximately 70 000 recipients) and poradnik.ngo.pl – a compendium of knowledge about running an organisation, consisting of 20 thematic sections (e.g. accounting, taxes, sources of funding). It is used by nearly 2 million users annually, with the Klon team providing approximately 4,000 pieces of advice. Since 2002, the organisation has been conducting a regular nationwide survey “Condition of the NGO sector in Poland” (9 editions) and other surveys on civic activity (over 50) – the results are used by representatives of the sector, public administration, students and academics, as well as the media (nationwide and local). Within the framework of the organisational grant, Klon/Jawor will, in the years 2022 – 2024, develop and strengthen the ngo.pl information system, providing access to knowledge and information to approximately 4 million users per year, work on strengthening the financial stability of the organisation (including through the development of marketing and paid activities), and develop a strategy for the coming years.
